Our school has always stood as a beacon of quality education from last quarter of century in the state of Manipur, fostering holistic development and nurturing young minds for a future of endless possibilities.
After careful consideration and with the goal of improving efficiency and effectiveness, we are proud to announce the implementation of a new management system, or rather team, at our school. As a part of this, Mr Nahakpam Chinglemba is given the post of Principal (on 5th October 2023, World Teachers Day Celebration), he was earlier working as Manager for 12 years. This system is designed to streamline administrative processes, enhance communication, and provide a more seamless experience for all members of our school community.
I reflect on the remarkable journey of Slopeland Public School and the strides we have taken to provide an educational experience that goes beyond the conventional approach or methods of education. Our commitment to academic excellence, character development, and a vibrant extracurricular environment remains unwavering. The two days Winter Camp during the winter of 2023 was a remarkable experience, where they were camping outside of their hostel room at school campus where they have done so many activities like River Rafting, Ziplining, River Crossing, Jumaring, Mountain Climbing, etc, for both myself and my dear students. This kind of activities brings an unwavering enthusiasm & camaraderie amongst the students which helps them lift their spirit.
As part of embracing innovation this year, we celebrated the spirit of innovation in education which we will continue to do so as part of the normal curriculum. In a world that is ever-evolving, we recognize the need to equip our students with the skills, knowledge, and adaptability to thrive in any given scenario. Our curriculum is designed to be dynamic, fostering critical thinking and creativity. As part of this STEM (Science Technology Electronics & Mathematics) and Arts & Crafts Festival have been added to the regular academic calendar, where they display their project works, new innovation related to science & technology, arts & crafts which foster them the idea of research & development in the field of Science & Arts.
Our dedicated and passionate faculty members are the backbone of our institution. We are planning to make at least 50% total numbers of teachers as non-Manipuri, which basically means 50% of our faculty teaching staff will be residing in the campus by the year 2025 end. As our campus is a mini Manipur or rather a mini India which have students from different part of Manipur & also different part of India, as well races, ethnics, religions, etc. So, it is equally important for us to make it sure that the teachers are from all over the country from different background, basically it is a very diverse campus. Their unwavering commitment to nurturing young minds and instilling a love for learning is commendable. We continuously invest in professional development to ensure our educators remain at the forefront of pedagogical advancements.
It will be worth mentioning that we also have a college- Slopeland College, under the Slopeland Public School Trust, which is basically for teachers training, under NCTE (National Council of Teachers Education), providing B. Ed (Bachelor of Education) course, as well as BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application) & BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration), affiliated to Manipur University.
